Time Stamps 2019
Masking tape, artist’s body, two weeks in quarantine.
Time Stamps developed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown as a way of documenting the trace of a body in a room as well as time spent in a room over a two week quarantine period. I utilized afternoon light to trace the shadow of my body onto the floors and walls of my bedroom every day for two weeks. I preserved these marks with masking tape, creating a trajectory of accumulated silhouettes. I became interested in the ways in which our shared experience of mandated solitude impacts our individual well being during a global pandemic.
